It doesn’t get more Australian than a meat pie. So it makes sense to keep it hot and tasty in a gas fired, heavy duty Cookon pie warmer/vendor oven. Specifically designed with mobile vendors, baked goods and takeaway food service establishments in mind.

Our Australian made pie warmer/vendor oven was designed for mobile food vendors to keep baked goods at a ‘perfect’ thermostatically controlled 110 degrees. The unit comes standard with full insulated stainless steel internal & external panels, stainless steel perforated trays, piezo ignition, 110°C thermostat, analogue temp gauge, and stainless steel solid door with door latch. Now also available with glass doors that can be hinged to either RH or LH side.

Appliance Safety

  • The appliance will automatically shut down should there be a failure in the gas supply.
  • Follow the lighting procedure for relighting the burner.
  • Never cover the flue pipe.
  • Ensure that the immediate area surrounding the appliance is clear of flammable and combustible materials.
  • This unit should be bench mounted and must have sufficient spacing around the unit as stated in the Oven Arrival and Installation section of this manual.
  • This appliance should not be installed on a boat or ship.
  • Ensure that the operators of this appliance have been sufficiently trained in its usage to avoid any burns or scalding.
  • The tray guard rods must be secured in front of the cooking trays prior to moving the vehicle to prevent trays from sliding into and damaging the glass door.
  • The oven doors must be latched prior to moving the vehicle.

Cleaning & Maintenance

GENERAL

To ensure that the unit operates efficiently and has a long operational lifetime, it must beproperly maintained and cleaned regularly. The appliance must be kept clean during the working day and must be thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day.

STAINLESS STEEL

The only cleaning generally required on stainless steel surfaces is to wipe the surface with a cloth and mild dish-washing liquid as follows:

  1. Gently sponge the area to be cleaned, with a cloth and cleaning solution.
  2. Wipe the surface dry with an absorbent dry cloth.
  3. Persistent stains may require vigorous rubbing with a sourer or with a creamed powder cleanser.
  4. Allow the appliance to cool down to ambient temperature by natural means.

PILOT BURNER ZIP TUBE

Brush with a wire brush daily after use or as often as required. Brushing will keep the holes in the burner open and reduce flame failure.

CONTROL PANEL

Wipe with a cloth dipped in warm cleaning solution as detailed above. The knobs of the burner controls can be removed by pulling them out.

WARNING

Aerosol sprays such as stove cleaners, insect sprays, etc. must NOT be used in the vicinity of this appliance whilst it is in operation, as they can cause corrosion of the metal surfaces.
